Head of Academy 6, Mark Wardle, is delighted with the news; ‘These results are a tremendous achievement and well deserved. The students and staff have worked extremely hard.’

Student Joe Morell, 19, from Hastings will be studying Economics at Loughborough after achieving three B’s in Biology, Economics and Maths. “I am delighted with my results, my teachers were excellent and helped me as much as I needed.’

Academy 6 was set up in 2007 to provide exceptional education to A level students in the South-east and will be moving to Station Plaza later this year, where it will continue to pursue academic excellence in state-of-the-art surroundings.

Local Students at Academy 6 study alongside some of the most promising students from around the world and these students also achieved very high grades in their International Baccalaureates. Chris Morrell, Academy 6 IB Co-ordinator, believes the results are a credit to students and teachers; ‘The IB is an extremely rigorous course and to achieve good results takes dedication and great teaching.’

Principal of Sussex Coast College Hastings, Sue Middlehurst said ‘Our first A-Level results from Academy 6 show we’ve achieved our goal of academic excellence and we look forward to many more successful students passing through our doors.’
