Sussex Coast College Hastings is working towards the Investors in Careers quality standard to evidence their commitment to enhancing careers and providing impartial advice and guidance for young people.
The Investor in Careers award raises the standards of CEIAG (careers education, information, advice and guidance) across the country and helps to facilitate a successful transition from learning to work for students.
The award is one of the highest accolades an organisation can receive for excellence in this area, and means that the college will offer invaluable support to all students who attend Sussex Coast College Hastings, whether they are in Further Education, Higher Education or a community learner.
Vicky Chainey (Head of Student Support Services) and Hannah King (Student Services Manager) announced the commitment to achieving this at the November Open Evening at Station Plaza last Thursday.
Vicky Chainey said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for the College and it is further evidence of the support that we already complete with young people; helping them to raise aspirations, take advantage of new opportunities, and realise their full potential in employment or Higher Education.”
