Exhibitor Georgie Little explained, 'Photography captures a moment in time and triggers memories. Photos document life and tell fascinating stories, becoming part of our personal histories. The recent destruction of the Pier has caused Hastings to reminisce and recognise how important the pier is to our town's heritage and collective identity. Just as a photograph preserves a moment in time, we feel that it's important for the Pier to be preserved and repaired so that it can continue to live on for future generations to enjoy and continue to make memories.'
Tutor Alex Brattell said, 'This is a very interesting group of adult students who wanted to exhibit their work. We all want to see the pier open again so this seemed like an obvious thing to do. We really like the Pier Shop and are delighted to be exhibiting there.'
Framed prints and greeting cards will be on sale at attractive prices.
