On the 6th July SCCH students and staff had the opportunity to take part in an exciting event called ‘It’s a Knockout’. The event gave students the opportunity to have fun, enjoy a break from studying, meet new people and develop team building skills, whilst getting the opportunity to interact with staff outside of the classroom.
The weather was great, which enabled staff and students to make the most of the BBQ during breaks between activities. All participants attempted the variety of games and races, from jumping through huge inflatable obstacle courses to teams dressing up in horse suits and collecting as many hoops as possible. The students especially enjoyed the water games which took place towards the end of the event. Humorous commentary ran throughout the day, causing much amusement to spectators and participants alike.
Kiera Chapman, Sports and Activities Coordinator said: ‘The ethos behind this event was to bring staff and students together in a fun and relaxed environment that was inclusive for everyone involved. It was the perfect way to end the year and a great memory has been created for those students that won’t be returning to us next year. Students that are returning next year have already been asking if we are going to run the same event again!’
