Jerwood Becomes First WorldHost Recognised Gallery in Sussex
The Jerwood Gallery has been awarded a WorldHost Recognition plaque for their commitment to improving customer service standards.
Staff and volunteers at the Jerwood Gallery came to together last month to take part in the unique WorldHost customer service training programme. The WorldHost programme offers gold standard customer service training and has been used to train over ten thousand volunteers at the London Olympics, as well as top hotels and retailers nationwide.
Businesses can receive recognition status once 50% of their staff have completed the WorldHost training programme. The Jerwood has become the first gallery in Sussex to become WorldHost Recognised and is part of a growing number of businesses and organisations in Hastings who have achieved WorldHost recognition.
Rebecca Fletcher, Front of House Coordinator commented "We were delighted to have been given the opportunity to be part of the WorldHost training scheme in Hastings, and to become a WorldHost Recognised organisation. The WorldHost training was useful for our staff and volunteer team in supporting them to develop a unified approach in delivering a more focused customer service."
To date over 20 businesses in Hastings have taken part in the WorldHost training programme, with over 150 employees receiving training- with so many businesses taking part in the training, Hastings looks set to become the first WorldHost Destination in the South East, following on from other towns across the UK such as Bristol, Hull, Lincolnshire, Canterbury and Liverpool.
