Bsc (Hons) Mechanical & Manufacturing (Top Up)
What will I learn?
This top-up course will give you a full honours degree once you have graduated. You will build on the knowledge you have gained from the HNC and HND with the aim of producing a well-rounded, knowledgeable graduate ready for a career in the engineering or technology sector. The course will develop your knowledge and use of mathematics, mechanical and manufacturing principles. The core modules are taught in a contextual way to make them relevant to the needs of the workplace. You will gain a greater understanding of the industry as this top up is taught alongside other engineering programmes to provide a broad mix of units.
During the course you will study a range of topics including:
- Engineering Management
- Manufacturing Techniques including Digital Signal Processing & Communications
- Engineering codes of practice
- Environmental and Safety Issues
- Research Project
What could I progress on to?
Once you have graduated you will have a full honours degree and be ready for a career in engineering, or perhaps further study.
Your career path could take you into electronic or mechanical engineering within the automotive, aeronautical, medical, consultancy, construction or manufacturing industries.
