What will I learn?

The VTCT Level 4 Certificate in Micropigmentation is about using micropigmentation, a form of cosmetic tattooing to create make-up effects to enhance facial features. It covers the skills involved in providing a thorough consultation with the client to formulate a specific course of treatment, tailored to suit individual client needs.You will prepare for and achieve a range of micropigmentation effects including hairstroke and powder brows, lip liner and lip blush, top and bottom eyeliner, as well as providing the relevant aftercare.

Anyone with previous beauty experience (and qualified to level 3 minimum) who is lookimg to increase their skills and treatment portfolio to offer semi-permanent make-up treatments.

Management of health, safety and security in the salon. Quality management of client care in the hair and beauty sector. Enhance appearance using micropigmentation.

The main assessment method will be through practical observation of treartments, there will also be some assignment work for the theory based units and underpinning knowledge.

What could I progress on to?

Working in a salon/self employed. Perform treatments on paying clients

Sometimes it can be difficult to decide the right level at which to study. The guide below will help you work which level is best for you.

Entry Level

These courses are for students who want to start progressing up the qualifications levels or have no previous qualifications.

Vocational Level 1

You must have a mixture of grades E to G at GCSE to study at this level.

Vocational Level 2

You must have two grade D's and two grade E's at GCSE or a relevant level 1 qualification to study at this level.

Vocational Level 3

These courses are equivalent to A levels, you must have at least four GCSE's at grade C or above or a relevant level 2 qualification.

A Levels

A levels are level 3 courses, you must have or expect 5 A-C grades at GCSE level including Maths and English.
Foundation Degree and Degree Our university courses typically require a relevant level 3 qualification or 120 UCAS points.
