What entry requirements do I need?

You will need a minimum of: All students should have a good level of English & maths. A pre-course application task for writing is required.

What will I learn?

The understanding module, is delivered through the colleges VLE 'Turing'. Stidents work at their own pace through the tasks and these are marked by your tutor. The other units are assessed through observation. There is a requirement that you will have to shadow a qualified verifier in your own area of work.

This course is for qualified assessors who would like to work towards their Lead IQA role. You need to be the main contact of your training area/provider that your EV/EQA/Moderator etc liases with.This qualification replaces the V1 qualification.

Existing qualified assessors that have access to a small team of assessors. You must be the main contact for your place of work, to be able to achieve the certificate.

Understanding the Principles & Practices of Quality Assurance Internally Assure the Quality of Assessment *Plan Allocate and Monitor work on own area of responsibility.

What could I progress on to?

You may wish to progress onto the Award in Education and Training or the Cert Ed/PGCE.

You can verify in your place of work, or progress onto a teaching qualification.

Entry Level

These courses are for students who want to start progressing up the qualifications levels or have no previous qualifications.

Vocational Level 1

You must have a mixture of grades E to G at GCSE to study at this level.

Vocational Level 2

You must have two grade D's and two grade E's at GCSE or a relevant level 1 qualification to study at this level.

Vocational Level 3

These courses are equivalent to A levels, you must have at least four GCSE's at grade C or above or a relevant level 2 qualification.

A Levels

A levels are level 3 courses, you must have or expect 5 A-C grades at GCSE level including Maths and English.
Foundation Degree and Degree Our university courses typically require a relevant level 3 qualification or 120 UCAS points.
