What do I need?
4 GCSEs A-D inc English and maths or
How will I be assessed?
40% practical, 30% coursework and 30% exams. Assessment is by short computer-based tests and assessment of practical tasks.
What will I study?
This one-year VRQ Diploma is designed to provide the essential knowledge and skills for vehicle technicians. The course includes training on the diagnosis of non-complex system faults for service technicians working on light vehicles (cars and vans) in all types of garages, dealerships and maintenance depots. This course develops English, maths, IT and work skills essential for working in the motor industry. Students will also gain a broad knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety in the workplace and other skills associated with working in a garage.
